Valentina Gallo

Valentina Gallo is a jurist and clinical criminologist, with an educational background oriented towards criminal law disciplines and in-depth study of the dynamics related to crime and deviance. After graduating in Law at the University of Trento, she obtained a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychopathology and Clinical Criminology at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan. This course, supplemented by a period of internship at the psychiatry department of the same hospital, enabled her to acquire in-depth skills in the understanding, prevention and treatment of deviant behaviour. She works as a voluntary collaborator ex art. 78 O.P. at the Interdistrict Office of External Criminal Execution in Venice and collaborates with the Social Services Department of the Veneto Region. She is constantly updated on issues related to gender violence, penal execution and intervention and prevention strategies.
