Risk of Possible Resurgence of Migrant Flows Towards Italy and Europe

Abstract

Analysts have detected a growing anti-migrant movement in Libya, particularly targeting Sub-Saharan migrants, as revealed by social media monitoring. This rising hostility could significantly impact regional migration dynamics. Concurrently, the resumption of migration flows from Syria suggests the potential for new waves of irregular migration to Europe, particularly across the Mediterranean, increasing the complexity of the current migration landscape.
