Italian authorities revealed over 900 illegal crossings in one month along an uncontrolled segment of the Balkan route into Italy. This suggests that tens of thousands of migrants may be entering Europe annually without being reflected in official statistics. Many of these individuals declare Italy as their first point of entry, triggering legal responsibilities under the Schengen agreements. Evidence also indicates the presence of support networks assisting migrants upon arrival. In response, the Agenfor International Foundation initiated a preliminary SOCMINT analysis to assess the online discourse and scope of this phenomenon.
