Toward a New United Syria

Abstract

This report outlines the critical conditions for Syria’s transition from international isolation towards peace, stability, and recovery. Key priorities include demilitarization, the creation of a unified national army, inclusive governance representing all ethnic and religious groups, and the establishment of transitional justice. Challenges persist due to external interference, particularly Turkish influence, and the absence of a developed democratic opposition. The report stresses the importance of upholding human and women’s rights and warns against sectarianism and fragmentation. International support is deemed essential to foster political cooperation and prevent further violence, humanitarian crises, and state disintegration.
