Germany agrees financial help for Libyan hospital needs

Tunis, 14 October 2015:

The German government has decided to underwrite costs of some medical supplies needed by Libyan hospitals, particularly those in Benghazi.

An agreement was signed yesterday in Tunis by the German ambassador Christian Much and Claudio Colantoni, Libya country of the International Medical Corps. Under it Germany will pay for medical supplies deemed necessary by IMC.The sums budgeted for the project are believed to be modest.

IMC is carrying out assessments of Libya hospital needs and, based on them, will organise the import of goods which Germany will then pay for.
