The project started on November, 11, 2013 and ended on April, 14, 2016. During this period of 29 months the partnership headed by Agenfor (Italy) with the participation of Guardia Civil (Madrid), Czech Technical University (Prague), the European Institute of Bulgaria (Sofia), CENTRIC of the Sheffield Hallam University (UK) and Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (Eliamep, Athens), implemented all project’s activities foreseen in the original planning and provided key elements for the European security awareness, analysis and counter-radicalisation strategy.
In general terms, the activities can be divided into two main parts:
- The research, aimed at the identification of movements and individuals, to carry out the interviews and gather new first-hand information on the nature, evolution and profile of the emerging threats. This project step was extremely complex and lasted until mid July 2015, including the production of the preliminary videos and the definition of the most appropriate methodology for data analysis;
- A second step to analyze the information collected and produce a proper security report, then transform the contents into proper videos (post-production), design the toolkit and the training courses and deliver courses to trainers, first, and final beneficiaries then. This second part of the project implementation lasted until April 2016.
