EuroLegalBot meets its users: national presentations in Italy, France and Greece

Abstract

Bringing technology closer to the professionals who will use it is a crucial step in the development of EuroLegalBot.

Deliverable D4.1 – Chatbot Presentations Comprehensive Report presents the results of three national events organised in Italy, France and Greece to introduce the EuroLegalBot chatbot to justice practitioners and institutional stakeholders. The events combined project presentations, live demonstrations, Q&A sessions and opportunities for participants to interact directly with the tool.

Held between April and May 2026, the three events reached a total of 96 participants: 25 in Italy, 51 in France and 20 in Greece. The audiences included magistrates, prosecutors, lawyers, law enforcement officers, court staff, academics and professionals working on judicial cooperation and cross-border criminal proceedings.

The presentations also provided an important opportunity to listen to practitioners. Participants highlighted EuroLegalBot’s potential for legal research, procedural preparation, training and access to comparative legal information, while also stressing the importance of reliable and traceable sources, jurisdiction-specific information, data protection and continued human oversight.

The feedback collected through these national events will help guide the next phase of the project, preparing EuroLegalBot for wider piloting and validation with justice practitioners.
