From digital skills training to VR-based traineeships

Abstract

The VR-DigiVET project has released Deliverable D4.3 – Report on the Implementation of the Digital Skills Curriculum and VR-Based Component of Traineeships, presenting the results of the final capacity-building activities addressed to VET students in Albania.

The digital skills curriculum involved 210 VET students, exceeding the initial project target of 200. Through a blended and project-based learning pathway, students developed practical competences in 3D modelling, immersive content creation, interaction design, virtual reality development and video production, together with transversal skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, digital communication and responsible use of technology.

Following the training and assessment phase, 25 students were selected to participate in an advanced VR-based traineeship, where they applied their knowledge to practical and collaborative digital projects with the support of teachers, project experts and private-sector mentoring.

The results demonstrate the potential of immersive technologies to strengthen both digital competence and employability-oriented learning within vocational education and training.
