The OSINT Reports Series, of which this report constitutes the third release, has been developed with the aim of providing an overview of the potential applications, on a European scale, of open-source research and analysis methodologies in prevention and mitigation activities directed against a range of potential threats. Each report in the OSINT Reports Series will provide insights, gathered through open source intelligence, concerning a potential threat identified by Agenfor International Foundation with the support of public and private partners.
Naz Öztürk works as a Junior Project Manager and OSINT Analyst with Agenfor International Foundation.
Previously she worked as a Protection Legal Intern and Researcher for the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) and volunteered for the Iraqi children who fled the region due to the ISIS invasion of Mosul in 2016. She holds an LL.M. Degree in Law and Sustainable Development from University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University. During her LL.M. , she specialized in International Security and International Public Law, where she authored her thesis on International Civil Aviation Law and Mistakes of Facts Under International Law. She holds a world championship in oral advocacy, where she ranked #1 out of 1,077 participants within the White&Case LLP Advanced Global Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
Fabio Frettoli works as Project Designer and Researcher at Agenfor International Foundation. He is a member of the board. Previously he worked as project coordinator in Tunisia with Terre des Hommes Italy and has interned as a policy analyst at the European Parliament (Directorate-General for External Policies, Policy Department – MENA Region), and as research assistant at the Middle East Directions Programme, part of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies in Florence.
He holds a Master in Intelligence and Emerging Technologies Frome Udine University, a Master in Human Rights and Conflict Management from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, Italy), a Master in International Security Studies from Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) and a Bachelor in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste (Italy).
